Hi folks, CentOS 7.3 is here !

It’s time to update …

Here my current version :

[root@centos ~]# rpm --query centos-release

Let’s update :

[root@centos ~]# yum -y update

And hundreds of RPM updates after :

[root@centos ~]# cat /etc/redhat-release
CentOS Linux release 7.3.1611 (Core)

If you still have this question “do I need to rebbot”, install this Python utility :

[root@centos ~]# yum -y install yum-utils

To see which processes need to be restarted :

[root@centos ~]# needs-restarting

604 : /usr/lib/systemd/systemd-logind
468 : /usr/lib/systemd/systemd-journald
639 : /sbin/agetty --noclear tty1 linux

The kernel has been updated as well :
