A disk drive

solaris new drive

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A virtual drive

solaris add new drive

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Define the disk size

solaris new drive size

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Connected to the SCSI bus

solaris new drive bus

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And finish

solaris add new drive finish

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now, restart your solaris guest machine, launch “format” command, and you will see the new drive :

root@solaris:~# format

Let’s go on withing “format” command

format> fdisk
No fdisk table exists. The default partition for the disk is:

a 100% “SOLARIS System” partition

Type “y” to accept the default partition, otherwise type “n” to edit the
partition table.
y
format> save
Saving new disk and partition definitions
Enter file name[“./format.dat”]:
format> quit
