Using XenCenter, connect the virtual DVD :

xentools

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Logon “root” to the virtual machine :

[root@centos7 ~]# id
uid=0(root) gid=0(root) groups=0(root) context=unconfined_u:unconfined_r:unconfined_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023

Mount the virtual DVD drive :

[root@centos7 ~]# mount /dev/cdrom /mnt
mount: /dev/sr0 is write-protected, mounting read-only

Change directory :

[root@centos7 ~]# cd /mnt/Linux

And launch the installer :

[root@centos7 Linux]# ./install.sh
Detected `CentOS Linux release 7.2.1511 (Core) ' (centos version 7).

The following changes will be made to this Virtual Machine:
  * enable arp_notify in sysctl.
  * packages to be installed/upgraded:
    - xe-guest-utilities-6.5.0-1436.x86_64.rpm
    - xe-guest-utilities-xenstore-6.5.0-1436.x86_64.rpm

Continue? [y/n] y

Preparing...                          ################################# [100%]
Updating / installing...
   1:xe-guest-utilities-xenstore-6.5.0################################# [ 50%]
   2:xe-guest-utilities-6.5.0-1436    ################################# [100%]

You should now reboot this Virtual Machine.

Reboot the virtual machine :

[root@centos7 Linux]# shutdown -r 0

After reboot, you don’t need the DVD anymore, so eject it :

xentools1

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The XenTools are now operative :
